Swaddle blanket and cover perfect for a new born and mommy

The swaddle is nice and soft made of 100% cotton.  The size was perfect.  It was large enough to cover the stroller, or my infant car seat, or swaddle the baby providing him a comfortable and breathable environment while giving me the peace to complete errands or just hang out enjoying a cup of coffee.

 

The blanket is very versatile, not only do I use it for swaddling the baby or as a cover for the car seat/stroller, I also use it as a burpie/burp cloth, private nursing cover, and changing table cloth.  These blankets/cloths come in real handy. 

 

The pack comes in 2 colors, a pink one and a blue one.  I wish the company would provide the option to select the colors or give one that is more gender natural.

This bag is very cute.  It is lightweight with adjustable shoulder straps.  It is very functional with multiple compartments perfect for mommy daughter sharing.  The bag can fit a small foldable umbrella, cellphone, wallet, and cosmetic bag easily.  It just so happen to rain here and I can tell the bag can withstand light rain well.  The pattern on this blue bag is so fun that I’m going to get one for my 8 year old niece.

Great multipurpose toiletry bag.  I could use a few of these.

My hands are small and opening jars has always been a challenge.  Before purchasing this product I use to bang the jar on the counter, or tape the lid and pull with no luck.  I’ve also tried the standard rubber grips but they are very limited to simple single size lids.

 

I am very happy with this jar lid opener.  It can handle many sizes.  The larger the lids the harder it is to grip and twist which this opener has handled with easy.  I especially like the long handle and different size options.  This really helps use the right force and angle; enough to pup open the lid with easy. 

 

The order comes with a very handy multipurpose bottle/can opener.  The simple modern slip design of the bottle opener is way better than the single use beer opener or the large clunky can opener which often doesn’t cling on very well.

 

Both openers are well designed, easy to clean, store, and use.  I would highly recommend this for people who have arthritis hands or anyone who find opening jar lids a challenge.

Night Provision™ ULTRA BRIGHT BX-960 USB Rechargeable Bike Light Headlight & Flashlight LED 960 Lumen

Powerful light, Rechargeable a definite plus.

 

When you first turn on the Night Provision BX-960 bicycle headlight you will notice immediately its powerful brightness.  I've used other bicycle headlights in the past and they don't come close to the Night Provision performance-wise in terms of both brightness and beam distance.  
Judging by its finish and weight, the Night Provision seems to be very well made with quality materials.  The light easily affixes to the handle bar mount which can be secured to a handle bar of any thickness by using the adjustable strap.  The round knob on the mount does require a fair amount of turning but it does fully tighten and secures the mount to the handle bar.  There is no slippage once fastened.

The on-off buttons are easy to use and also illuminate.  Once the Night Provision is turned on, the beam is bright and projects a great distance.  The specs say that the beam distance can reach up to 180 meters (almost 500 feet).  I don't know whether that amount of beam distance is needed by the casual bicyclist but based on my own limited test on a long driveway the Night Provision beamed a distance reaching 50 feet easy.  I think that is more than sufficient to see the road ahead of you but I suppose there might be cases where more distance can come in handy.  I need to add that the Night Provision battery is rechargeable, a definite plus.

All in all, the Night Provision as a bicycle headlight works very well.  I imagine that there are other headlights on the market, but based on everything I see with the Night Provision, I doubt there is a better one.

This stylish bootie is very comfortable with the wider heels.  I love the fact that it looks like leather but it is NOT leather and is reflective of the price, very affordable casual wear.  In addition to the wider heels, the bottom is made of a rubber outsole which makes it non-slip.  You can easily go all day in it and still feel pretty comfortable.  I of course added some additional padding in it to give myself a better arch support.  The shoe itself does run big and wide so if you have small and narrow feet, you might need to pad it and wear extra thick socks.  #zooshoo

Very handy, love the LCD light display

We’ve all had this happen.  We walk out to the car and see one if not more tires seemingly under-deflated.  Assuming the culprit is not a nail and the tire is not so flat such that the car is not operable, the typical course would be to head over to the nearest gas station and use the air pump.   The biggest problem we all face when using the air pump is that the tire pressure gauge attached to the air nozzle is either broken or inaccurate.  What ends up happening is that we are then operating in the blind and not knowing how much air we actually put into the tire.  Experience suggests we tend to over-inflate the tire when that is the case.  This is when owning a tire gauge such as the TravelSafer Digital Tire Gauge comes handy. 

Simply put, the TravelSafer does exactly what it is supposed to.  It measures tire pressure.  But what sets this tire gauge apart from some of the others.  The digital readout alleviates the guesswork that comes with the manual tire gauge sticks.  With the latter, it seems one can never be certain since you are just looking at the line markings.  The TravelSafer’s LCD light display is a nice feature for checking tire pressure at night or anywhere in the dark.  Although the gauge gives us up to 4 readouts, the most common and important to us is the PSI number.  I found the TravelSafer easy to use.   Just place the gauge opening to the tire valve, and by giving it a short push, the display provides the reading.  The TravelSafer was also comfortable in the hand to use and lightweight.  

For those who check their vehicle tire pressure frequently or routinely, they would find the TravelSafer very useful.  Even the less frequent user will find that by keeping a TravelSafer tire gauge in the glove compartment, he can feel more comfortable about using the gas station air pump knowing that he can get an accurate tire pressure reading and if inflating more than one tire, to have consistent and equal pressure in all tires.

Ustellar 16.4ft/5m Waterproof Flexible LED Strip Lights, 300 Units SMD 2835 LEDs, 12V LED Light Strips, Lighting Strips, LED Tape for Gardens/Homes/Cars/Bar (Daylight White)

This is a review of the Ustellar Waterproof Flexible LED Strip Lights with self-adhesive back or tape lights.  This particular strip did not come with a 12v power adapter so if you need one, you’ll have to order it or purchase the unit with the kit.

This particular item is said to be waterproof however I was not able to test it outside given the strip came with exposed wiring.  I checked other products and the internet all seemed to indicate it should not be exposed.  I am awaiting the replacement unit to come.  Hopefully it will not be the same.  Amazon is a great place to order. 

The LED strip is 16.4ft/5m long and has a total of 300 LED modules.  Instructions show that it is cuttable and linkable every 3 LEDs along the cutting marks.  The LED strip is sealed with silicone which makes it waterproof and smooth to the touch.  The non-waterproof strips don’t have the silicone wrapping and the LED modules and resistors are bare which can cause an electrical shock despite it only being 12v.  I’d recommend spending the extra money (a few bucks, not much) to purchase the waterproof silicone wrap ones which is smooth to the touch and can handle heat.  Given the item is for my kid’s room, as parents it is probably best to spend the money for the peace of mind. 

The strip is very easy to install with self-adhesive back or tape like back which sticks to pretty much any smooth surface.  I’d probably consider running these strips inside and under my kitchen cupboards and shelves.

After some research, this product with is a 2835 LED is an upgrade from the 3528.  The light output of 2835 is 2 to 3 times higher than 3528.  Depending on what you plan to use the strip for, 2835 is said to be better for kitchen under-cabinet lighting and above crown moldings while the 3528 would be better for bookshelves or for ambient lights. 

If you are planning to connect multiple LED strips to a single power source, it is best to run them in parallel rather than series.  I noticed with this and other LED strip lights when connected in a series that at the end of the strip the lighting appears to be dimmer.  After researching the issue, it appears that in a series, you are running power through one strip connected to the next, and so on which the power does not hold the same with each connector and thus causing the dimmer lights with each passing connector (voltage drop).
 

With so many of the same products out there of the same design and made, they all appear to be the same standard length (16.4ft/5m).  I wish there were options to purchase longer strips or pay per feet that way I don’t have to deal with having to connect the strips and deal with the voltage issue.
